Avical was founded by Eliab Alvarez de la Campa and David Abrams in February, 2000. Since then, they have performed more display device calibrations than perhaps anyone else in the field having received hundreds of accolades on various home theater forums for their high level of technical and customer services. Recently, Eliab has left to pursue other endeavors. Avical is now being headed by David Abrams who continues Avical's nation-wide coverage via his frequent calibration tours.
 David holds a Bachelor of Science in Video Production from Ithaca College, ISF Level I & II, JKP, THX, and HAA certifications as well as having attended numerous manufacturer's factory training sessions. He has assisted the Imaging Science Foundation (ISF) and Joe Kane Productions (JKP) with their calibration seminars and provided numerous publications including The Perfect Vision with video calibration and evaluation services for a number of their product reviews. He is also frequently employed as a video consultant and by many of Hollywood's studios to calibrate their editing bays. David is also one of a select few video technicians that routinely works on state of the art multi-million dollar installations.
